If you’re driving on Woodward Ave. entering Birmingham, look out for the new upscale restaurant Zazios. Opening to the public July 23rd, customers can expect great service and an array of rich Italian cuisine.

Zazios has been a popular marker on the west side of the state with their Kalamazoo location. Birmingham marks the second location, this one being in the metro Detroit area. The menu is extensive with authentic dishes from every part of Italy, including homemade gelatos with a variety of flavors. Both restaurants boast a great atmosphere for family and friends

Probably the most unique part of both restaurants is the chef’s tables. 24 customers who have reserved spots days in advance will be treated to an authentic 5-course meal while the chef cooks just feet in front of you. Along with the ability to watch every minute of the chef cooking, he will take time to explain what exactly he is doing, and all about the dishes history. Matt Schellig, the executive chef at the location in Birmingham is a fun and upbeat cook who will make sure your experience is bright and interesting.
