In this role, you will create, edit, update, and implement external communications to be used in sales process by Field Sales, Design Resource members, and Haworth’s Dealer Network. You will also develop “boilerplate” content for client-facing bid proposals, sales presentations, and reports to convey compelling reasons to do business with Haworth. Additionally, you will create and edit internal communications intended for Haworth members and/or Haworth’s Dealer Network. You will develop corporate writing standards; responsible for communicating those standards.
Background Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or in writing and editing field.
- Five years experience writing, editing, and managing multiple projects on tight deadlines in marketing/sales environment.
- Broad range of knowledge regarding Haworth, its products, industry, and how writing supports “big picture.”
- Some graphic design capabilities.
- Excellent writing and editing skills; ability to express ideas clearly and logically.
- Ability to review copy for errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling and to check copy for readability and style, suggest revisions, change words, and rearrange sentences and paragraphs to improve clarity and/or accuracy.
- Must have client-focused “passion.”
- Ability to adapt writing style to create communications that connect with customer.
- Natural ability to consult effectively with clients and use good judgment, with strong sense of ethics in deciding what to publish.
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to concentrate amid confusion and work well under pressure.
