Performs support tasks for department, as directed, and maintains clear and appropriate documentation. Acts as a team member and assists the team in improving processes. This internship has a focus of strengthening documentation and communication between professionals and with patients and families. Written and verbal communication skills. Offers suggestions and submits ideas and tools to promote and support patient and family exceptional experiences. This internship could include involvement with the patient advisory board, web communication, and/or design of patient education materials. It will include interactions with healthcare professionals as well as patients and families.
Background Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelors degree in Healthcare related filed. This internship requires that your recieve credit for completion of this Internship Effective written and verbal communication skills. Time management and organizational skills. Self directed. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions. Ability and willingness to learn. Current education program to include an internship as a graduation requirement and the student will be given credit for participating from their educational program.
