Why Did You Choose this Job? As an intern with the company, prior to getting hired full-time, I always had an interest in the client coordinator role. It fits perfectly with my personality and skill set, as I am a people-person and very detail oriented. In addition, the position lines me up for a solid career path and growth opportunities.

What Are Your Duties and Responsibilities? I am basically the liaison between sales and the client. I coordinate the advertising vehicles the client chooses to run in and assist in guiding them through the process. Through direct contact with the client, I gather the information needed for entry into our systems and follow-up internally to ensure this information is received. I am also responsible for resolving problems along the way and collaborating with clients and internal departments to arrive at a proper solution.

What's the Best Thing That has Happened to You So Far Since Starting this Job? Once my training concluded, I began assisting my team members and other associates with any requests nedded. On my very first day assisting I had already received recognition from my supervisor and others for how well I was doing. It was very encouraging.

What's the Best Thing About Working for Valassis? Valassis is one of the best companies to work for in the state of Michigan. The people are extremely kind and generous and truly want you to succeed. The management also strives to ensure associates' hard work is recognized. I feel grateful that I am able to begin my marketing career at such a great company.

Why Did You Choose to Work in Michigan? My fiance and I just bought our first home locally here in Michigan and decided it would be a good place to establish our lives together. The state will only beging turning around if everyone pitches in and contributes to its come-back!
