Why Did You Choose This Job? I chose this job because I'd been working for a physician's office for the last three years and had experience with insurance verification. I had grown to like working in health care and was looking for something more challenging. The position offered higher pay, full benefits and better hours.

What Are Your Duties and Responsibilites? Myself and the other three insurance verifiers are responsible for checking the insurance for everyone who is admitted to the hospital or is scheduled for surgery. We have to make sure their insurance is going to cover their services and get authorizations if required. When the patients are discharged and we have gathered all of the correct information we release the accounts to be billed.

What is the Best Thing That Has Happened to You at This Job? The best thing that has happened to me since I started this job is I became a homeowner! This summer I bought a condo and am able to afford it because of my new job.

What is the Best Thing About Working for Henry Ford? The best thing about working for Henry Ford West Bloomfield is the people. Everyone is nice to work with. Why Did You Choose Michigan? I choose to work in Michigan because this is where my friends and family are and I can't imagine being anywhere else!
